NTC Kaliro has a gender equality space, which aims to integrate a gender perspective through policy formulation, programs, and college activity implementation. This is to ensure equality of opportunities between men and women so that development has equal impact to all. The space has guidelines informed by the National gender policy (2007), the 1995 Beijing Platform of Action; the 1979 Convention for the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW); the SDGs; Uganda Vision 2040; etc.
Including both genders in the day today service delivery is the best way to go in this 21st century. Ntc Kaliro has pioneered it and it's a GBV free environment. We pray that it shifts to all other sectors.
