Need to integrate equal treatment in the steering processes
Propose other strategies for supporting gender mainstreaming in our institution?
NTC Kaliro has a gender equality space, which aims to integrate a gender perspective through policy formulation, programs, and college activity implementation. This is to ensure equality of opportunities between men and women so that development has equal impact to all. The space has guidelines informed by the National gender policy (2007), the 1995 Beijing Platform of Action; the 1979 Convention for the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW); the SDGs; Uganda Vision 2040; etc.

ReplyDeleteAs women,we should break all barriers surrounding the different gender stereotypes that some capitalise on to be vulnerable. Every time a woman exhibits vulnerability, she's likely to fave such challenges. Instead,it is important to acknowledge the unavoidable differences between the two genders, ensure to equip both genders with necessary requirements and skills to create a leveled ground in the different primary sections of life. In fact, people should be made aware of their rights such that they can stand their ground at instances that violate their wellbeing in relation to gender stigmatisation and creating a safe space for the two parties
