There is No small GBV

During the dissemination of the end-line survey on GBV by the MUST team, information from participants indicated that there is still some form of GBV in the institutions. It was noted that amongst us, there are actions, gestures, sayings that we perform casually but which make others feel uncomfortable. Capacity building

Engaging the HR in capacity building activities like CPDs, benchmarking visits helps them to acquire knowledge on how to implement activities to foster gender mainstreaming. The coach helps participants to share experiences, identify gaps and propose strategies to bridge them. It is necessary for members of institutions to engage in the trainings and thereafter cascade to the whole institution to have the desired impact. As a team, in what areas under gender mainstreaming do we need support to be able to implement it as expected?

Sex disaggregated data

Image
Disaggregation of data is the breakdown of gathered information into smaller units to gain deeper understanding of a situation or clarify underlying trends. Collection of sex disaggregated data of the college staff members helps to inform gender analysis, gender transformative approaches and the developing of programs and policies. This also helps to identify inequalities and to promote effective policy making and inform any actions that the college plans. Looking at the data, members in the college can propose ways of handling structures, resources and infrastructure. How else can this data be put to use?
